Your questions - departures and arrivals
Departures and arrivals
You can find information about your flight's arrival or departure terminal on our website's flight status page by clicking on "Departure and arrival city".
The location of baggage drop-off counters varies among airports. They are generally found near the check-in counters and are indicated on video screens behind the desks.
If you cannot walk to the aircraft or to connecting flights, we advise you to contact us 48 hours before your departure or at the time of booking. Air France will provide you with all the necessary assistance.
Your boarding gate is indicated on the video screens marked "Departing flights" and on your boarding pass. Go directly to this gate to board for departure after check-in.
You can purchase duty-free goods after passport control in European airports if you are traveling to a non-EU country or a French overseas territory. In addition to your baggage allowance, you can transport one bag of duty-free goods per person in the cabin. Liquids and tobacco products must be transported in a sealed plastic bag. You can also shop for duty-free goods on our long-haul flights.
Check-in confirms your presence on the flight and allows you to check baggage. Boarding refers to to the moment when you board the aircraft. You should plan to arrive at the airport early on the day of your departure to give yourself enough time to pass all security checks (passport controls, health document verification, security…).
Air France actively works to limit the potential inconveniences of overbooking by:
- seeking volunteers,
- offering compensation awards for those who volunteer to take later flights,
- ensuring a new booking aboard another flight as soon as possible,
- paying for any necessary accommodation costs.
If you are unable to print your boarding pass, you can collect it from any self-service kiosk or check-in desk at the airport before your flight's Check-in deadline.
Your ticket's terms of use and refunding depend on its travel fare conditions. Did you miss your connection flight because your 1st flight was delayed? You can consult the information on refunds in the Contact us section. You can also contact your point of sale or our online help service if you purchased your ticket online.
